What are we looking for in you?

  • Proven experience in Oracle database administration (minimum 5 years).
  • Experience in database migrations, preferably to cloud architectures.
  • Mastery in SQL query optimization and index design.
  • Experience in redesigning data models for microservices-based architectures.
  • Knowledge of data replication, synchronization and consistency validation in hybrid environments (on-premise/cloud).
  • Experience in managing large volumes of data.
  • Experience in Linux environments (Debian or other distributions).
  • Familiarity with container tools like Docker and orchestrators like Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Azure.

It is considered a plus

  • Knowledge of process analysis, ideally in the banking sector, is valued.
  • Understanding and reading Cobol and JCL programming languages.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage Oracle databases to ensure optimal performance and high availability during and after migration.
  • Plan and execute the migration of large volumes of data, minimizing the impact on operations.
  • Redesign the existing data model to adapt it to microservices-oriented architecture.
  • Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to improve overall system performance.
  • Implement and manage tools and processes to monitor data consistency and quality during the coexistence period between architectures.
  • Configure and implement monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery mechanisms for Oracle databases.
  • Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure proper integration between databases and cloud services.
  • Document processes, procedures and changes made to the database system.
