At IT Patagonia we are looking for a Data Governance With an analytical, technical, and strategic management perspective, the successful candidate will take on the challenge of ensuring data order, reliability, and privacy within a complex financial ecosystem. To achieve this, they will work collaboratively across business, technology, and product teams. We are seeking a candidate with strong technical skills to validate the practical implementation of governance and quality policies. They must also possess interpersonal skills to build consensus, manage tensions, and position governance as a strategic enabler for the business.

What will your challenges be?

  • Implement the data governance strategy, defining and auditing procedures for data quality, security, and privacy.
  • Technically validate compliance with data regulations through direct queries and audits using SQL and Python.
  • Establish rigorous controls to ensure the integrity and reliability of the data consumed by analytical models and dashboards. Business Intelligence (BI).
  • Act as a strategic liaison between business, product, engineering, and architecture teams. Translate needs, generate agreements, and hold technical and executive conversations with equal fluency.
  • Manage people with diverse interests to build alliances that make the adoption of data policies sustainable. Help coordinate areas that used to operate autonomously.
  • Monitor and generate metrics or reports on the health status, quality and adoption of data governance in IT Patagonia.
  • Actively participate in interdisciplinary working groups, representing our area of Analytics and BI with technical expertise and the ability to influence.

What do we expect from you?

  • Five or more years of experience in the data ecosystem. We value previous experience as Data Analyst, BI Analyst or similar positions with a solid analytical perspective.
  • Formal experience assuming responsibilities of Data Governance, Data Quality either Data Stewardship.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and Python (required) to perform complex queries, explore databases and run direct integrity checks.
  • Proven ability to operate in corporate environments with multiple stakeholders or key people. Ability to read organizational dynamics, generate consensus in tense situations, and hold technical and executive conversations.
  • A methodical and structured approach. This must be combined with the flexibility to understand the needs of different businesses and adapt to changing contexts.
  • The ability to influence without formal authority. It is important to know how to advance an agenda in structures where change generates resistance.
