At IT Patagonia we are looking for someone to join our team as Data Scientist. QuThe person in this position will be involved throughout the entire lifecycle of the organization's technology projects. This encompasses everything from defining objectives to implementing and integrating the corresponding models.
You will work collaboratively with the engineering team, data science team, and business leaders. Your primary purpose will be to automate complex workflows to optimize operational efficiency.
What will your challenges be?
- Develop and implement machine learning models (machine learning) and AI solutions.
- Actively participate in defining objectives and in the comprehensive design of technology projects.
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large volumes of data.
- Optimize models using advanced techniques such as hyperparameter tuning.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate models into applications.
- Analyze the results of the models using advanced statistical techniques.
- Research new technologies, tools, and methodologies related to data science.
- Identify innovation opportunities that add value to the organization.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives on existing processes and products.
- Design and develop proof-of-concept tests to validate the feasibility of new ideas.
- Clearly document the developments, processes, sources of information, and results obtained.
- Monitor the implemented models and make the necessary updates to ensure their performance.
What do we expect from you?
Required:
- Five years or more of experience applying AI in practical and comprehensive technological solutions.
- Solid experience in programming using languages such as Python, R, Go either Java.
- Demonstrable experience in machine learning and deep learning (deep learning).
- Practical knowledge of development platforms such as TensorFlow.
- Experience in Natural Language Processing (Natural Language Processing or NLP).
- Proficiency in using development tools such as LongChain either LlamaIndex.
- Experience in the development of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
- Practical knowledge in representational state transfers (Representational State Transfer or REST).
- Design of non-relational databases (Not Only SQL or NoSQL).
- Optimization of structured relational databases (Structured Query Language or SQL).
- Solid knowledge of mathematics, statistics and data analysis.
- Experience in handling and processing large volumes of data.
- Ability to research and adopt technologies according to the needs of the organization.
- Clear communication skills to present proposals to technical and business teams.
