We're seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Mobile QA with at least five years of experience in mobile testing to join our team. This position involves validating mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms, with a full focus on functional, integration, and system testing.
What are we looking for in you?
- Experience with AWS (desirable), including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.
- Basic knowledge of AWS services to validate integration with cloud-based mobile applications.
- Understanding of Swagger (desirable) for validating documentation and testing mobile APIs.
- Perform tests on different networks (4G, 3G, Wi-Fi) and simulate low connectivity situations. (Desirable)
Technologies
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sr. Mobile QA with proven experience in manual testing of mobile applications for Android and iOS.
- Experience with mobile testing tools such as BrowserStack and TestFlight.
- Knowledge in creating SQL queries and working with MongoDB databases.
- Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira and Xray.
- Experience with testing mobile APIs (REST, SOAP, Postman, etc.) and web services.
- Knowledge and experience in integration, regression, and acceptance testing for mobile applications.
- Good understanding of the software life cycle and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Ability to perform usability and user experience testing on mobile applications.
- Knowledge of performance and stability testing in mobile environments.
- Experience running tests on a variety of real-world devices and emulators to ensure compatibility and performance.
- Knowledge of battery, CPU, and memory impact assessment to ensure optimal performance.
- Validate proper handling of permissions (location, camera, etc.) and application security.
- Experience using proxies to intercept and analyze communications between the app and servers, identifying potential vulnerabilities and communication errors.
Responsibilities
- Run manual tests to validate mobile applications on Android and iOS, ensuring proper functionality across both operating systems.
- Validate mobile functionalities from the end-user perspective, ensuring application quality, usability, and performance.
- Use tools like BrowserStack to test on different devices and mobile environments.
- Collaborate closely with development, design, and product teams to ensure mobile applications meet quality requirements and standards.
- Manage and execute tests through TestFlight for iOS versions.
- Create and manage test cases and test plans within Jira.
- Use Xray for test management and report defects in detail.
- Ensure full test coverage within the mobile development cycle.
- Write test scenarios in Gherkin (desirable), ensuring they are clear, detailed, and reusable for different workflows.
- Document and report errors detected during testing in a clear and timely manner.
- Perform regression testing, integration testing, and acceptance testing of mobile applications.
- Perform performance and stability testing on real devices and emulators.
- Collaborate in the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies within the team.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure proper cloud implementation and deployment.
- Validate and test mobile components and services deployed in the AWS environment (desirable).
- Use Swagger (desirable) to understand and validate mobile APIs, improve documentation, and ensure correct implementation of services.
