At IT Patagonia we are looking for a Senior QA Automation to ensure the quality, stability and reliability of a critical platform payments and collections. The role combines a strong focus on test automation with tasks of QA manual, especially in functional validations, financial flows, and integrations with external systems.
What will your challenges be?
- Design, develop and maintain automated tests (unit, integration and end-to-end) for backend services and APIs.
- Perform manual functional and exploratory tests on critical flows: payments, collections, reconciliations, and integrations.
- Validate REST APIs and backend services, ensuring data consistency and quality.
- Define, execute and maintain test plans and cases, both manual and automated.
- Analyze results, document defects, and follow up until they are resolved.
- Collaborate with development, product, and other involved teams to ensure quality deliveries.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, best practices and quality standards.
What do we expect from you?
- More than 5 years of experience in QA, with a strong focus on QA Automation.
- Proven experience in test automation for backend and/or APIs.
- Experience in functional and exploratory manual testing (exclusive).
- Solid knowledge in validation of REST APIs (Postman, Swagger, or others).
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar.
- Experience in testing integrations and validating end-to-end flows.
- Knowledge of relational databases for data validation (desirable).
- Analytical, detail-oriented profile, with good communication skills and a strong focus on quality.
